New necklace

I made this necklace this weekend. It ended up just a bit longer than choker length. I was planning something more involved but I somehow misjudged how long to cut my beading wire and had to improvise. The picture is blurry because it is a scan.

Bead for Life is a group of Ugandan women who make beads and jewelry out of magazine paper. Recycling, women’s sustainable development, and jewelry all in one shot. Check it out. Here are my latest earrings. They are made out of buttons. I just clipped off the shanks and glued them onto earring backs.
