I haven’t been able to settle into many books this week.  I’ve read a few partial books but they aren’t holding my interest.

The Oracle of Stamboul by Michael David Lukas

Eleonora is born in Romania in 1877.  It is clear that she is a gifted child.  When she is eight she goes with her father to Stamboul on a business trip.  Her world expands to include a potential spy, a possible revolutionary, and the Sultan.

This was an interesting book.  It isn’t like anything I’ve read before.  It combines historical fiction with a bit of magical realism.
