I am not a morning person. That is actually a huge understatement. However the SO gets up at 5 AM. After he showers and shaves it is about 5:40 and then he talks to me. He must like to live dangerously.

This morning he came out of the bathroom and said, “Morning sunshine.”
Me: Oh, yeah, I’m a ray of sunshine.
Him: Sings “You are my sunshine” which I absolutely hate
Me: Must be love
Him: Because you haven’t killed me yet?
Me: Yep.

I’ve had good intentions to workout some in the morning. You know, get the metabolism jump started, etc. It hasn’t happened. But I got this magazine yesterday with a workout in it that I really wanted to try. Last night I ran out of time with everything I needed to do. For some reason I was awake this morning so I decided to get up and do it.

Yes, at 5:45 AM I exercised. The workout kicked my butt. I’m not sure if that was because it was hard or because my body was in shock because I was up or a combination of the two. It was a circuit that I was supposed to repeat for 30 minutes. I did about 10-15 minutes before I quit. I figured that I was panting and sweating and that was good for my first try at morning exercise. No need to go crazy. Time to go back to bed until it was time to get up.

Instead I’m blogging. Obviously morning exercise is a dangerous thing.
