Under Seige/ posted in: General
We escaped last night. I made reservations at the fancy restaurant here for after Z’s bedtime. Mike’s dad was here so we could leave. It was very nice.
We were woken up this morning by Mike’s dad pounding on the door. There were massive storms going on here. Mike’s sister had called and said that a tree fell down at his dad’s house. His dad wanted to go home right away.
The SO came in the room from talking to him and asked if I had heard the conversation. I said I heard part of it.
SO: “Did you hear the part when he declared that his house was under seige?”
SO: “It’s the damned Apache, woman! Get up, we have to take him home.”
Me: “Wait, the Apache have the place surrounded and you are taking the women and children there?”
It was very confusing.
We drove him home through the storm to look at the tree that fell down. There is nothing that you can do about that. It didn’t hit anything. We waved goodbye to him and drove to Universal Studios. The rain never stopped so we had lunch and left.
I was very disappointed. I wanted to go to some park while we were here. The SO and Z are going to the Dismal Kingdom ( as the SO has taken to calling it) tomorrow so I rented a car to go back to Universal and see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. What can I say? I’m a geek.
