I’ve come to the conclusion that I have so much insanity swirling around me that I don’t always recognize batshit crazy when it is staring me in the face.

If you haven’t read my last post about picking up my dress from the seamstress go look at that first.  Go on, I’ll wait……

Ok, so I got there totally on time even though I had a last minute emergency.  I was proud.  I walked in and she said to me, “I don’t have it done.  I just need 15 or 20 more minutes.”  I said that I would go to lunch and come back.

It wasn’t until I was driving away that it occurred to my brain that this was the third time I was supposed to pick up the dress.  How could it not be done?  You’d think it would be ready the first time.  Even if it wasn’t it would definitely be done the second time.  The third is a no brainer.

So I went to lunch.  I came back 45 minutes later.  If you are playing along at home, 45 minutes is longer than 20 or 45>20 if you prefer math.

I walk back in and she says, “I got busy.”  It wasn’t done.  It wasn’t like it was a shock that I was there.  Immediately behind me came the delivery lady with lunch.  At least the poor dear was able to make the time to order refreshment.

I was so shocked that I just said that I would be back in two weeks.  Note to self – I am taking the dress with me finished or not.  Don’t let the shock of poor service make me forget to break my poor dress out of this hostage situation.  Hopefully it has a claim tag still on it.  I don’t think I’m certain what it even looks like any more.
