I finished The Golden City and The Maid and the Crocodile. This is why I like themed blog events. I picked both of these up because of the water theme for this year’s Wyrd & Wonder. They wouldn’t have been on my radar otherwise. I like to get pushed out of what books I would normally see.
I saw The Bookseller at the End of the World mentioned in a flyer for Honest Dog Books that I got in the actual mail. It is about a lady from New Zealand who has done a lot of sailing around the world and in between adventures she runs very tiny bookstores.

I dipped into these two. They are both part of series I liked but so far I’m not hooked which is sad.

I finished A Farewell to Charms. I decided to listen to one of my favorite series and Audible had Troubled Waters on sale for $3. The husband and I are still listening to The Others series.

I sent River Mumma back at about halfway through. It wasn’t bad but again I just wasn’t compelled to keep reading to find out what was going to happen.

I saw this in the Honest Dog newsletter too. It caught my eye because of the water fantasy theme and it is from Australia. It is a dual timeline historical fantasy book about women on convict transport ships to Australia.
I enjoyed The Sirens, I hope you do too. I got a sample of The Bookseller but missed buying it when it was on special, maybe it’ll come on sale again.
The Bookseller at the End of the World sounds great! I still need to read Emily Maguire too!
Sounds like a good week. I have listened to a number of Sharon Shinn books but not Troubled Waters. Every time I see a mention of the Others series, I’m so tempted to listen to it again. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
