I just finished The Calamity Club so I’ll be starting The Forgotten Midwife this week.

The Einstein of Sex is making me have feelings. It is about the Hirschfeld Institute, which eventually gets burned by the Nazis. You know the newsreel footage of Nazi book burnings? Some of the most famous is the looting of the Institute’s library and research. Right now it is the 1920s and everything is going great and they are helping so many people but I know that in a few years all of these Jewish people and gay people and trans people are going to be dead or in exile and it is so incredibly sad.

Interesting assortment of books. You remind me that I haven’t read a nonfiction book yet this year. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Still need to get around to the Calamity Club. The Einstein of Sex sounds really interesting but yes, can see why it would make you have feelings.
