I was thinking the other day that I’d like a wrap around puffer skirt for when it gets really cold at the dog park this winter. Those are expensive so my brain started down a path.

  • I usually wear sweats over leggings when it gets really cold
  • I have those sweats that are way too big now
  • I could make those into a skirt so I don’t have to throw them out.

Donating them wouldn’t really be a good option. They are University of Tennessee sweatpants and I’m not in UT fan country. Who is going to want them?

I found a video on YouTube and started cutting them up. Now I have this.

Solid layering option on super cold days. They’ll be like wearing a blanket over my legs outside.

I might be watching too much of the Great British Sewing Bee over breakfast every day. It’s giving me ideas. I don’t like making clothes from fresh fabric but I can see myself getting more into the up cycling and rearranging of old clothing.
