I haven’t written in a while because my poor blog has been having trials and tribulations. Something went wrong and I couldn’t sign in. That required hiring a fixer from Fivrr to fix .. something. Then a few days later someone tried a brute force attack so my hosting company had to do … something. I only know how to work the WordPress editor. I don’t understand the behind the scenes magic. But I’m back.
I’m in Washington D.C. this week for a conference. (Don’t bother robbing my house since the attack husband and guard dog are at home.)
I’m traveling with staff members. One hadn’t been much of anywhere before. I’m continually shocked by the lack of independence in younger people. She had to psych herself up to walk across a large room to get a free snack she wanted. I pointed out that I could see her the whole way like she was a five year old that needed reassurance. I told her she was practicing independence. That’s our theme this week. So far she’s gone to the bathroom unaccompanied. Sigh… When I was 19 I was wandering around Central America alone. What happened to kids these days? Yes, I’m old.
They gave out reusable coffee cups for coffee breaks. They also have oat milk on the carts. I’m so happy.
