It is the time of year when I think that I need to start focusing on sci-fi so I have something to talk about during sci-fi month in November. I’ve gone deep down the rabbit hole in the last week. I’ve read a bunch. The solar punk short story collection has been on my reader forever. I’m going to try to get to some of the stories at least this year.
Quarter Share has been on my reader forever too. I love, love, love The Wizard’s Butler by Nathan Lowell in ways that I can’t explain. It is so soothing while nothing really happens. I finally started reading Quarter Share, realized it had the same vibe, and then immediately got the rest of the series. I also decided that I’d be immediately relistening to them with the husband. We started Quarter Share on the same day I finished it.
I loved Al Hess’s books during last year’s fall sci-fi reading binge so I looked to see what I had missed. Wasteland Heart just came out so I picked it up.
