Nio tagged me for the Regrets, Decisions, and Pride meme.

Here are the rules:

1. Having children/getting married doesn’t count, nor do their accomplishments/non-accomplishments. This is about *you* and *your* choices, not about your children, nor your spouse.
2. Link back to this post
3. Be honest

Regrets:

This one is hard. Luckily, I don’t have any big things that I regret in my life.

This reminds me of the one thing that I so glad I did because if I hadn’t I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. I was in South America through a Christian veterinary organization. I was supposed to be helping out local vets who also worked with this group. I ended up being sent out into the middle of nowhere to work with a vet for one week. I have never met anyone else who just oozed sex out of every pore like this guy did. When I got home and saw pictures I was really surprised that he wasn’t that cute like I thought he was at the time. He must have been marinating in pheromones and really knew how to flirt. So, long story short, I slept with him right before I left. I knew then that if I didn’t I’d always wonder What If? Now I know that out of bed he was incredible. In bed – not so much. Quite disappointing actually. But I’ve always been so glad that I did it because I know that I would have always regretted it. Yes, my name is Heather and I went on a mission trip and slept with my host. It made me giggle every time I had to give a presentation to a church about what I did on my mission trip.

Decisions:

This one decision that really shifted the direction of my life was converting from Christianity to Paganism. Because my identity growing up was so tied up in my religion this was a total change for me.

Pride:

I won several national level contests in 4-H. I did a different contest each year and won nationals in each of them. It was pretty impressive at the time (I was in high school and college) but only if you were into horse 4-H. I have one of the trophies here because it is a statue of a horse and hope that no one reads the inscription on the base because it is just way too hard to explain.
