Week 1: (Nov. 2 to Nov. 6) – Your Year in Nonfiction (Leann of Shelf Aware): Take a look back at your year of nonfiction and reflect on the following questions – What was your favorite nonfiction read of the year? Do you have a particular topic you’ve been attracted to more this year? What nonfiction book have you recommended the most? What are you hoping to get out of participating in Nonfiction November?

I LOVE NONFICTION NOVEMBER! November just seems like a good time to snuggle up with some serious books and learn some stuff. But first, let’s figure out what nonfiction books I’ve already read this year.

Are you kidding me? I knew I was on a major romance/comfort reading kick this year but I had no idea that I had read so few nonfiction books. For contrast, last year for this post I had read 22 nonfiction books and thought I was slacking.

What have I loved this year?

Just to make it look a little better let’s add in the books from November and December last year that never get added to this list.

That’s a bit better. Of those ones my favorite was Running with Sherman.

Obviously I get a lot more nonfiction reading done in Nonfiction November and it carries on through December.

So, my goal for this month needs to be to get to those nonfiction books I’ve been neglecting. I’ve got several requested from the library and I have a stack of books here. I can’t wait to see what everyone else is recommending.
