If you had to stick to one genre forever, which would you choose and why?
Why do you have to be like this? Why do you have to ask hard questions?
My first thought narrowed it down to three:
- nonfiction
- fantasy
- romance
How am I supposed to pick from there?
I like the Happily Ever After of romance and there are endless possibilities of subgenres but it does get predictable.

I’m going to cross off that one because you could always get a romantic subplot in another genre.
Fantasy is a perpetual favorite of mine but I do go through droughts where I just can’t find anything that is sticking with me. I’d hate to be limited to it during one of those times.

If I pick nonfiction I’d always be learning something. That would be good. I’d miss the imagination of fiction though.

I think if I really, really had to pick I’d go with nonfiction because there are just so many options – but I wouldn’t be happy about it.
What genre would you pick?
