I bought a new sewing machine to replace my dearly departed one.

I was browsing at WalMart. The first one I saw promised that it was “Lightweight and Portable.”  I guess my last one was pretty portable too since someone was able to run off with it.  I didn’t get that one.

I bought a more expensive one that has a walking foot and a quarter inch foot included.  I had to buy those separately for my last machine. It also has roughly a bazillion stitches. I’ve never thought to myself, “Boy, I wish I had a built in heart shaped stitch,” but now if the spirit moves me I can sew all the little hearts I want. It makes me want to make a crazy quilt. What’s that you say?  Crazy quilts are meant to show off a lady’s skill at hand stitching not button pushing?   Blah, blah, blah, I can’t hear you because my fingers are in my ears.

I’m a bit afraid that the machine is smarter than me. Most new technology is. But it has a large side table to support quilts so I’ll forgive it now.
