I finally finished Monstrous Heart. That was a slog. I started Always Be My Banshee, the fifth book in the Mystic Bayou audio series.

I added a some book to my Kindle for my May TBR.

Continued my audiobook

Mostly still listening to audiobooks while walking and doing puzzles

Finished Cold as Hell and Always Be My Banshee.

Started the next audiobook in the Mystic Bayou series, One Fine Fae. It is just a 3 hour novella. Finished Suddenly Psychic. I was browsing my Audible library for a new group listen for the husband. I don’t usually have him listen to something I don’t know unless we are following a known series. I decided to have him try out Written in Red, which is one of my all time favorites. I love the ponies! It’s a series that I always think of as warm and cuddly but it is actually so dark. I didn’t know how he’d feel about it but we’ve been listening to murder books. He liked the first hour so I think we are into this series! I’m so happy. I love relistening to this series.

Finished One Fine Fae and Suddenly Psychic today

I picked up The Baker of Lost Memories from Kindle First Reads.

I’m thinking about trying the 20 Books of Summer Challenge. I’ve never done it before.

  • The #20BooksofSummer2025 challenge runs from Sunday June 1st to Sunday August 31st
  • The first rule of 20 Books is that there are no real rules, other than signing up for 10, 15 or 20 books and trying to read from your TBR.
  • Pick your list in advance, or nominate a bookcase to read from, or pick at whim from your TBR.
  • If you do pick a list, you can change it at any time – swap books in/out.
  • Don’t get panicked at not reaching your target.
  • Just enjoy a summer of great reading and make a bit of space on your shelves!

We all know I’m rubbish at sticking to a list and reading my TBR. So I’m not going to aim above 10 books from the TBR because that will be an absolute miracle.

Ok, so they have to be either in my possession, on a TBR list, or on hold at the library before May 31 to count. That’s enough restriction to already make me start thinking about how to break the rules and load up my lists ahead of time. No! Bad! Slapping my own hand! The idea is to read to clear the lists. I can do this for at least a few books.
