I’ve been to two quilt shows in the last two weeks. Here are some highlights.

Farmpark

You’ll be absolutely shocked to realized that I mostly take pictures of animal quilts.

I love the quilting on the hummingbird quilt.

I love that. The quilting in each section is fabulous.

This lady and cat is piece and thread painted instead of fabric painted like the previous cat.

There are animals on this park. This piglet was using its siblings as a ramp to try to climb up to the feeder. My logic that if they wanted him to be able to reach the feeder they’d have put it in reach was not impressing him.

I also had a talk with a mule named Jolene. I love mules. She was very angry. Her ears were flat back on her neck. I told her to put her ears up because they were beautiful. She snapped in my direction. As a horse person of course I kissed her nose. Yes, I was a long time angry red mare owner. Then I made a mistake. I said, “What do you want me to do? Open your door?” I forgot I was talking to a mule. She immediately went to the door and started kicking it with a front foot. Yes, that was what she wanted. I pointed out that she was very muddy so it appeared that she had just come in. Yep, that was why she was mad. Even living next to a handsome Friesian wasn’t placating her and that made my mare very happy for one month. Obviously my soothing livestock vibes were off that day.
