I found out about the website SparkPeople today. It is a diet tracker website. I don’t think it will work for me because it is slow and when you add food you can only say that you ate a banana (for example) and not that you ate this Mexican Bean salad I made. Anyway, the point is that I entered my current weight and my goal weight and it calculated that if I lost 1-2 pounds per week that I’d be at my goal weight in June. For some reason that blew me away. June. I could be at my wildest dream of a goal weight. Mind you I’ve had no luck breaking out of this plateau I’m on lately, but…June….1 pound a week….that seems strangely doable.

  1. I was using SparkPeople for a while to track my eating….You can actually add your own foods (for example, my lentil chili). I just enter the nutitional information from MasterCook (or whatever) & it did work pretty well. After a while, I found it annoying to enter everything I ate, so I gave up. Every so often I try it again, but haven’t managed to make it more than a month. I guess I’m lazy?
