ETL Challenge – Day 5

The macaroni and cheese cravings are about to kill me. I don’t even eat macaroni and cheese that often but the remaining molecules inside me are banding together to collectively scream for reinforcements. But I’m holding out because…..

…weight loss as of this morning – 4.5 lbs.

That puts me 0.5 lbs above the lowest weight I’ve seen since 1998. If I lose 1 lb the number in the tens position in my weight will change and for some reason that will thrill me all to pieces. I’m only 10.5 lbs above the weight I got married at, which I considered so horribly fat at the time.

Breakfast – a few bites of last night’s dip on carrots, an orange, a banana
Lunch – an orange and chili. I made the chili by sauteing half a bag of frozen stir-fry veggies with a bit of veggie broth and garlic. Then I added 1 can of pinto beans, 1 can of a three bean blend, 1 can of diced tomatoes, and 1 can of diced tomatoes with chili seasoning. I added dried cilantro, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and Spike (salt substitute). The resident onmivore said it better than the turkey chili in a can he ate for lunch. That’s not really high praise in my mind but he thought it was.

Dinner – We went out to Ruby Tuesday’s. I had the veggie burger, hold the cheese and mayo, with a side of portabella mushroom slices.

Snack – Bless me bloggers for I have sinned. I went to a movie. I had Twizzlers. I really wanted MilkDuds. The husband aided and abetted.
