Welcome to Nonfiction November!
Let’s start out by celebrating your year in nonfiction. What books have you read? What were your favorite books or topics?
This year I have two opportunities to link up posts. The first is for your Year in Nonfiction posts and then there is a link up for any reviews of nonfiction books that you publish this month. That linky will be open all November. You can check back and link anytime. This is a great place to get even more nonfiction suggestions to get your TBR list overflowing. Make sure to write down where you saw books recommended for week 5’s New To My TBR list.
My Year in Nonfiction
Memoirs

Food Books

All the Rest

If I had to choose, what were my favorites? It is hard because they are all so different but here are my choices.

Now it’s your turn. Tell us about your year in nonfiction.
Link up your reviews of nonfiction books you publish this month. Check back to see what everyone is reading.

Next week we are discussing what we look for when choosing nonfiction at Volatile Rune. See you there!
So many gorgeous memoirs – these are my favorite books to get as audiobooks and you have so many that I want to read! Happy nonfiction November, thank you for hosting!
Memoirs are fun on audio, especially if the author reads them well.
All the Beauty in the World was on my list to read for 2024 but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Also would love to read Grizzly Confidential!
I got All the Beauty in the World for my husband’s birthday because everyone was raving about it for last year’s Nonfiction November.
I don’t seem to be able to use the linky – so I will leave my post link here for Week One.
Thanks for hosting this wonderful event once again 🙂

I’ve added a couple of books to my reading list, although I wish that for this prompt people would do more than just list or show the cover of the books they like. Maybe it would be a nice idea to add to the prompt next year “Tell us a little about the books you liked best.” Some people did, of course.
The World of Dumplings appeals to me! Have you made any of the recipes yet?
I have a dumpling recipe book too, but keep putting off actually making any of them – somehow how it seems too finnicky…
I haven’t made any of the recipes yet. Partially because they are finicky and partially because I’m on a weight loss program and don’t want the extra calories.
Thank you for inspiring me to dedicate November to non-fiction! I did this last year as well. I will link up at the end of the month, when I publish all my book reviews.
I have A Fever in the Heartland in my Kindle and I’ll add the to the list for the month. Glad November is a long month–I’m really excited.
November seems to be a perfect month for nonfiction! I’m looking forward to seeing what you read.
A lovely variety of books there, Subculture Vulture is the one that jumped out at me, though also the maple syrup one (always makes me think of Little House on the Prairie, maybe a Pairings choice for another year!!).
Subculture Vulture was a good one too.
Thanks for hosting!
I see you love memoirs too! Thanks for hosting!

Thanks for hosting!
And we’re off on another Nonfiction November adventure!!! Thanks so much for hosting this week!!! I added Henry Winkler and Kelly Bishop’s books to my list. I love both actors so much!
Great list! A Fever in the Heartland still has me thinking a lot — and it’s been a year since I read it.
That book was wild! No one would believe it if it was fiction.
I would love to read The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop–I am a hardcore fan of both GG and Bishop. I love your veggie-oriented cookish books, but le sud is the one I really want to explore!
It was a good memoir. It really highlighted how much of herself is in each of her famous roles.
I really enjoyed Henry Winkler’s memoir! And All The Beauty in the World is on my TBR!
Henry Winkler’s book was so much fun!
Wow, you read a lot of nonfiction this year! Egan is an amazing author, I have loved his The Worst Hard Time.
I read less nonfic than usual this year: https://wordsandpeace.com/2024/10/28/nonfiction-november-my-year-2024-in-nonfiction/
Thanks for hosting!
I haven’t read anything else of his. I’ll have to look for it.
So glad that Nonfiction November has begun again! I’ve added these two books to my TBR from your post today: Standing My Ground and That Librarian. I like books that lead us into good trouble. 🙂 Thanks for hosting.
