Eat Local killed Whole Foods for me! I made a special trip to Whole Foods the other day. I was all excited about being able to buy good stuff not available anywhere else. But when I got there they had signs on all the produce stating where it was from. As you would expect at this time of year most were from Central America. I couldn’t buy anything. All that Eat Local stuff has seeped into my brain and taken up residence. So I ended up buying mostly mixes for soups and sauces which were still good but it wasn’t quite the transcendent shopping experience I was looking for.
