Here’s a few recent photos.

We’ve been out on hikes. Nemo got asked on his Instagram if he’s registered to vote. He’s too young though. I got my yearly henna tattoo.

Why did no one tell me that solo player journaling role playing games are a thing? I just heard of them this week. I picked a simple one to play.

It is a free game. You decide on your character, your world, and your tea shop. You can make journal pages for all that. Then there is a page of scenarios. You can role a die to pick a scenario and then write a journal page/story about what happens.

I’ve started a notebook with my character bio and the bio of the mule and horse pulling the tea wagon. (Of course I have bios of the animals!)

I’m still thinking about the layout of the wagon before writing that and then I’ll do a page on basic world building and one on how I got the tea wagon. Then I’ll start the game. I’m thinking of writing each one in the style of a diary entry. It should be a fun creative exercise. They have a library one too that I may do after I get tired of this one but you could run this story in all kinds of settings – modern day, modern with magic, sci-fi on a space ship, cozy fantasy, etc.

Just so everyone knows, the Nonfiction November team is talking and planning. We will be back this year with all the nonfiction fun. Stay tuned!
