WIP Wednesday
/ posted in: QuiltingI’ve been working on a block a day sampler quilt for Quilts of Valor. This is what I’ve posted so far plus the rail fence block for today.
I’ve been putting together my Spaghetti Junction quilt as a leader/ender while doing the sampler. But I haven’t been doing it fast enough.
The top section is what I’ve partial sewn. The bottom section is where two cats and a dog have been “helping.”

So I took my stash of blocks and put them altogether into this sampler quilt for the Block Party. Working with a simple block formation design is a really good starting place for designing your first quilt and I purposely sashed it to show folks how that works in quilt design.

Your QOV is going to awesome. Those are some pretty amazing blocks. I love the colors in the spaghetti junction quilt. The gray really brings out the rest of the colors. Thanks for sharing.

Where is this sugar skull made of hexagons design? I’d love to see it.

Your sampler blocks are gorgeous! And the spaghetti junction looks great as well. My cats also like to “help”…

love your valor quilt – those blocks look perfectly pieces, points sharp – something I’m not good at which is why I stick to art quilts but I do admire someone who can do what you can do. looking forward to seeing the whole thing.
